Kovačica Wind Farm — 104.5 MW Wind Power Plant

Project Details

The Kovačica Wind Farm, located near the town of Debeljača in northern Serbia, is one of the country’s largest wind power facilities, contributing significantly to the diversification of renewable energy sources in the region. Completed in 2018, the wind farm consists of 38 wind turbines, each with a unit capacity of 2.78 MW, reaching a total installed capacity of 104.5 MW.

IEE provided a critical engineering contribution to the project by developing all levels of design documentation — from the conceptual design and preliminary design to the design for the construction permit and detailed design. This comprehensive scope of work ensured the technical reliability of the entire system and full compliance with both local and international wind energy standards.

The project was developed by ELECTRAWINDS K-Wind d.o.o., with the goal of increasing the share of clean energy in Serbia’s national grid and supporting long-term sustainability objectives.
